Recent / relevent experiance

As is the way in our industry, much of my most recent work is yet to be released. At the end of 2025 I was the Director of Photography on PACIFIC OCEAN: POLYNESIAN VOYAGE for the National Geographic Society where we documented Hōkūleʻa and the Pacific Voyaging Society's return to Aotearoa.

At present I am engaged as Director of Photography on two, in-production, long form documentaries; The Waterman's Son & Don't Whistle at the Aurora.

Additional credits can be seen here

Te Ara Ki Te Ao Auaha

I recently completed production on Te Ara ki te Ao Auaha “The pathway to the creative world”, which is a documentary produced in partnership between Three Lakes Cultural Trust and PivotInno.

It also is yet to be released however I am able to share the couple of short extracts below.

Gherk

While this piece is quite different to the examples provided by Open Planet, I thought I would include it as its a short character piece that I recently filmed and edited as a solo crew. It showcases some of my shot sequencing and story producing without any 3rd party.

Ngawari & End of an Era

While these two pieces are much more commercial focused films, they both have some great examples of my interview capturing and general landscape / scenic work.

ZDEYN COLOUR (Resolve).00_02_33_09.Still006.jpg

Zedyn

This short piece follows Zedyn Fellows, a NZ skateboarder with dreams of going to the olympics. Its slightly different style once again but I've included it as it won me a Silver Gong award for cinematography from the New Zealand Cinematogrphers Society in 2025.
