The most memorable images don't simply record events, they reveal something deeper.

Films help us see the world differently. Whether documenting an expedition, crafting a scene for a narrative film or creating a story for a brand, I'm always searching for the moments that create connection rather than simply observation. My aim is to create imagery that invites audiences to look closer and leave with a greater sense of curiosity, empathy and wonder.

My fascination with visual storytelling began with the iconic photojournalism of the Vietnam War. Those photographs uncovered humanity and beauty within moments of hardship, revealing truths that words alone couldn't capture. That philosophy still guides my work today, searching for texture, light, emotion and the beauty within grit.

As a Director of Photography and documentary filmmaker based in Wānaka, Aotearoa New Zealand, I've spent more than a decade working across documentary, factual television, narrative film and commercial productions throughout New Zealand, the Pacific, Asia and the United States. Along the way, I've been fortunate to collaborate with broadcasters and platforms including National Geographic, Disney, AppleTV, Red Bull TV, Al Jazeera, Amazon Prime, SKY TV, TVNZ+, GloboSat and more.

Much of my personal work explores themes of environment, conservation and human connection, stories that reflect what I'm most passionate about. Every story offers the opportunity to understand the world a little better. I'm simply looking for the beauty within grit along the way.
